Street scenes are a new favourite, inspired by Yani's travels around the UK, Europe and Indonesia. The vibrancy in these scenes is brought to life in Yani's painting, be they of urban centres or coastal harbours. Yani's use of mixed media – applying tissue paper over a whole area, or different collage effects, for example – creates rich textures and deep colours in her work.
